First Post, Take Two

I posted my first article to this blog a few weeks ago. I was determined to put all of my content in a single blog and then republish certain articles to my company blog as it seemed fit. Well, after a lot of work, I determined that that wasn’t the best way to do things. Maybe it was fate… because the blog software we use for the company didn’t seem to want to let me do it my way anyways. The options for republishing a feed wouldn’t work, so this is where it leaves us. Two blogs for two purposes. It makes more sense this way.
In my company blog, I’ll post about Build Systems and Web technology from the perspective of a .NET developer. Here, I can explore those same topics and others from the perspective of a Mac user and a person who likes to tinker.
Recent events have pushed me to start learning Cocoa (I heard some company released a phone 9 months ago or something). While that’s slow going, I think you’ll see some code snippets posted here as soon as the NDA allows me to. I also write quite a bit of PHP code. While I’m definitely becoming more and more spoiled by the .NET that’s behind ASP, PHP still holds a place in my heart and I’m sure I will continue to develop for it. I just find that much of my PHP work is in making it sometimes emulate what I get for free in .NET (or Java, etc).
Well, here’s to take two of this blog. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this as much as I will.
P.S. I’m currently trying to find a good captcha plugin for this site. I’m installing GD Library soon, so that should increase the number of options I have. I’ve tried a few captcha plugins without much luck. I’m not really interested in signing up with a third party site to generate the images, so my next attempt will be with Captcha!.
Wish me luck!
